For every 1,000 people in South Africa alone, 17 of them die each day! As startling as it may seem, this is only South Africa. Imagine multiplying that by 64 to get all of Africa! People who are more fortunate in, not only America, think that oh, wow, dying starving people. Well I've never met them, so I'm not going to help. Even the littlest donations can help. What if it were you living in basically a tent/box with only little water and almost no food. Would you want someone to help? Lot's of people do help, though. Every year me and some friends go to this organization to package food that goes to different countries in Africa. Even little things like that will help them. Here's one last thing you need to know that some people always overlook. Not all of Africa is in need, some of it is a prosperous, determined community that people don't even think about. As you can see, Africa is very different depending on where you look.
Going further into the sad part of this, is that even though you might be fortunate enough to have never lost a loved one, if you want to most places in Africa, I can promise that 90% of them would say that they have lost someone in their life. So now go up to someone, a friend, family member, anyone and tell them that you love them. You'll be glad you did.
As I said, some people overlook the fact that people are dying. From AIDS, cancers, and many other diseases. Some people think, they don't know them, so they don't have to donate. Well I have news for them, that doesn't matter. You'll know in your heart that you did something right. Wouldn't that feel so good? Now you know, go on and tell others, spread the word, save the world!
