"In the pursuit of virtue, don't be afraid to overtake your teacher."
"Young people should not be taken lightly. How do you know that they will not one day be better than you are now?"

--Confucius

"True poets are only the interpreters of the Gods."

-- Socrates

You laugh because I'm different, I laugh because you're the same.

Starting Over

Where's the hurt
In starting new
What's so wrong with
Changing you

Who's to say
Who you are to be
What's so wrong
With being seen

Make new friends
Make new grades
Wait until
Your old life fades

It might be hard
But for good reason
You might change
In any season

If your old times
No longer fit
Then move around
Do not resist

You never just
Where you'll find
How to have
Much better times

Your heart guides
You through the dark
Finding character
Is an art

If you aren't pleased
With your old ways
Then changing won't
Come in a day

If you are down
Or sad or blue
Then find the hope
In starting new
