Going Nowhere

We as people

Have many fears

We fear death, happiness

Even love, at times

We do not

trust ourselves

We do not believe

We can

We need to be assured

Positive. Correct.

That everything we need

Crave. Will not go anywhere

We need to be

Given the answers

The days we will make

Mistakes

We want to know

When our lives will go wrong

So we are able

To make them right

We have to be

Warned when we fall

And get hurt

Or fall in love

When happiness is going

To end.

Or when it is continuous

Everlasting

Sadly, we are not given

These luxuries

And are forced to decipher
