Quidonk

Author's Note:
This is a poem I wrote after I researched Dr. Seuss's writing styles.  I am focusing on word choice.

Quid-hi said a mouse
That lived in a quid-house
Who lived with his neighbors
In the small town of Quidonk

His sister, a quid-cat
And his brother a quid-rat
Both squeaked when they saw
a two footed quid-smat

Whoa said the mouse
Whoa said the rat
In Quidonk there should be
No two footed quid-smats

Now the town of Quidonk
Was really a nice place
Though scared was the sister
Just look at her face

So the mouse shook his head
And yelled at the smat
That smat took his two feet
And took two big steps back

Quidonk's back in order
Hooray cried the town
They were all smiles
Not one single frown
